BlackBerry News: BlackBerry BBC100-1 Debut in Indonesia

Yesterday, it was revealed that TCL will be releasing two new BlackBerry smartphones this year. It appears that BlackBerry has already been working on these devices, as leaked images of the BlackBerry BBC100-1 have surfaced today.

BlackBerry News: BlackBerry BBC100-1 Debut in Indonesia – Overview

BlackBerry, to make a comeback, has decided to license the production of their devices to other companies while focusing on the software and security aspects themselves. Partnerships have been established with TCL and PT BB Mehra Putih for this purpose. Specifically, the BlackBerry BB100-1 is believed to be a mid-range device developed by PT BB Mehra Putih for the Indonesian market.

In terms of specifications, the BlackBerry BB100-1 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720p. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 Ghz, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone will also offer dual-SIM support, a feature commonly found in devices sold in Asian markets. Additionally, it will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and house a 3,000mAh battery.

The availability of the BlackBerry BB100-1 in markets outside of Indonesia remains uncertain at the moment. However, BlackBerry will likely include its top security apps to ensure the device is secure, regardless of where it is sold.
