Prepare your phone:

  1. Make sure that you have the appropriate device model. Go to settings> about.  If it’s a SM-G900F or G900H, you can use this device.  Don’t try it with other models of the Galaxy S5.
  2. Make sure that your battery is well charged. It should have 60-80 percent of its battery life.
  3. Back up all you important messages, contacts, and call logs.
  4. Back up your Mobile EFS data.
  5. Enable USB Debugging Mode
  6. Download USB drivers for Samsung devices

Note: The methods needed to flash custom recoveries, roms and to root your phone can result in bricking your device. Rooting your device will also void the warranty and it will no longer be eligible for free device services from manufacturers or warranty providers. Be responsible and keep these in mind before you decide to proceed on your own responsibility. In case a mishap occurs, we or the device manufacturers should never be held responsible
