To tag or mention someone in an active chat, simply utilize the ‘@’ symbol followed by the person’s name or nickname, and proceed by selecting the intended recipient from the displayed list. Messages containing mentions are highlighted for all participants within the group.
Furthermore, individuals who have been tagged will receive a notification indicating that they have been mentioned in a specific conversation. This notification enables users to swiftly navigate to the relevant chat, bypassing the need to search for the group in which they were referenced.
Many users have eagerly awaited the Reactions feature, which is set to be a significant addition alongside the long-requested dislike button. With this feature, users can now express their reactions to individual messages similarly to how they interact with various posts.
To react to a particular message, users can simply press and hold on to the message and choose from a selection of reactions including anger, sad, love, smile, wow, or yes. Additionally, users can monitor the responses to their messages in the lower corner of the chat interface.
Upon sending a message, users will have visibility into how others have reacted to it by checking the lower corner of the chat window. By tapping on the emojis, users can explore who reacted to their message and in what manner, a feature applicable to both individual and group conversations.
